AUDIO: Is Pentagon Planning for Sequestration?

Some publications have questioned the accuracy of a quote attributed to Pentagon acquisition chief Frank Kendall in an article posted on the Defense News website yesterday.

In a speech, Kendall said the Pentagon was starting to plan for sequestration. Shortly after, the Pentagon issued a statement that said by planning, Kendall meant DoD “is working closely with [the White House Office of Management and Budget] to understand the law and assess its impacts” of sequestration.

Take that however you will. The audio from the sequestration portion of Kendall’s speech is here: Kendall Speech Audio.

I would also note that Bloomberg and Reuters and Defense Daily (subscription required) all  reported the exact same thing.
