President Obama on Wednesday went to a meeting of the Business Roundtable to speak with a group that has been one of his collective nemeses: Corporate CEOs.

Obama was introduced by Boeing Chairman, President and CEO Jim McNerney. “I think the BRT can be helpful in making sure that everybody here in Washington makes the right choice,” Obama said, referring to avoiding the so-called fiscal cliff (and deep defense cuts via sequestration).  As Obama and GOP congressional leaders trade public barbs about their very different plans for doing so, it’s clear Washington could use all the help it can get right now.
